Hey Everyone!
We at WordCamp Ahmedabad are super excited to host its fourth WordCamp and the first one after the pandemic. We are thrilled to announce that the speakers application for WordCamp Ahmedabad 2023 is now open! This invitation extends to anyone eager to share their stories, experiences, and expertise with fellow WordPress lovers.
Who Can Apply?
You can! Anyone with practical knowledge and passion can.
When we say anyone, we mean it too; your technical expertise and past speaking experience are not the prerequisites for becoming a speaker.
As the WordPress Community worldwide, diversity in speakers will also be our key focus for WordCamp Ahmedabad 2023. We want to make sure everyone has an equal chance to be a speaker, regardless of their gender, age, background, appearance, or any other things that make them unique. We’d love for people from all walks of life to join us as speakers.
What Topics Can Be Covered?
While we have provided the following recommended topics as a guide, we’re eagerly looking forward to hearing any exciting ideas you may have that can contribute to the WordPress Community’s growth.

These topics are simply meant to inspire. We’re always open to new ideas!
Session Duration
This year, we plan to have two tracks:
Standard Talks:
Plan your presentations for 30 minutes, with the final 10 minutes reserved for interactive engagement with the audience.
Lightning Talks:
Deliver a dynamic 10-15 minutes session that conveys your message clearly to the audience.
To cater to the variety of our audience, please keep in mind that we encourage our speakers to present in either English or Hindi only.
Also, we aim to keep the audience engaged. So, If you’re interested in hosting a workshop or wish to be part of any panel discussions we might have, please inform us in your application.
Speaker Selection
Our review process is designed to be as fair and impartial as possible.Our primary focus is on selecting topics with the most compelling content and diversity. Selected speakers will be assigned one topic. Please know that if you have applied for multiple topics, we will choose the one that aligns best with the audience’s interests.
Provide us with a comprehensive overview of your selected topic in your application, explaining why you think it is important to the WordPress community and sharing your personal experience or connection with it.
Please know that keeping everything in mind the team’s decision will be final in this matter.
Application Timeline
Please submit your applications before November 10th, 23:59 IST.
This will allow us enough time to review applications and schedule sessions and allow you to prepare thoroughly for your presentation.
