Do I need prior speaking experience?

No! WordCamp encourages new speakers to apply. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned presenter, we welcome everyone with valuable insights to share.

What language should my talk be in?

English: English is ideal if you’re addressing a diverse or international audience or covering technical topics that may have common terminology in English. This language choice ensures accessibility for attendees with various language backgrounds and aligns with the global nature of the WordPress community.

Gujarati: If your talk is geared toward local developers, designers, or business owners primarily based in Ahmedabad and surrounding areas, Gujarati can make your content more relatable and comfortable for a regional audience.

Hindi: Hindi is a great choice when you’re targeting a broader, pan-Indian audience that may not be fluent in English or Gujarati. It’s particularly useful if your session includes topics relevant to audiences beyond the Gujarati-speaking community in Ahmedabad.

What perks do speakers receive?

All selected speakers will receive a complimentary ticket to WordCamp Ahmedabad 5.0, along with access to an exclusive speaker dinner and networking opportunities.

Can I submit more than one talk?

Yes, you can submit multiple proposals, but we will select only one to maintain a diverse range of speakers.

Will there be support for speakers?

Absolutely! We provide technical support to ensure your session goes smoothly. If you’re new to speaking, we also offer guidance on preparing and delivering your talk.

How are speakers selected?

Our team reviews each submission carefully to ensure a balance of topics and speaker backgrounds. We focus on topics that will provide the most value to attendees.

When will I know if my talk is accepted?

We aim to notify all applicants a few weeks before the event, giving you time to prepare.

For inspiration and guidance, feel free to explore the diverse range of talks from past WordCamps or reach out to our team for support. Don’t miss the chance to contribute to the WordPress community!
